Brady Corporation is an international manufacturer and marketer of complete solutions that identify and protect premises, products and people. Its products help customers increase safety, security, productivity and performance and include high-performance labels and signs, printing systems and software, and safety devices.
Founded in 1914, the company has millions of customers in electronics, telecommunications, manufacturing, electrical, construction, education, medical, aerospace and a variety of other industries. Brady is headquartered in Milwaukee USA and employs more than 6,400 people at operations in the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
The Problem
Brady had installed two automatic capsule machines, one was plumbed to the mains water and the other was tanked due to the location of the machine. The main problem experienced by Brady was the taste of the coffee and the secondary problems were the cost of each cup and the maintenance of the machines.
The Solution
CoffeeTec was invited to demonstrate a coffee machine to the office management and also to the most discerning coffee drinkers on the premises. When we demonstrated on site a BTC1800 automatic coffee machine we were not only able to let the Brady staff taste the obvious benefits in the coffee but also calculate the drink costs, showing a significant reduction in the cost per cup. The additional benefits included lower cleaning costs and most importantly to some, hot chocolates and mocha was added to the drink selections!
To help address to costs of providing good coffee to staff, we were able to add a pay-wave payment system to each machine, allowing staff to carry a card preloaded with a selected dollar value and this was to be topped up by a HR manager.
The system worked extremely well and CoffeeTec staff refined the machines and the bean choices so that all staff were able to get the beverage they needed and wanted, whenever they wanted it. Currently, each machine operates with different coffee beans from the Café de Fonte Javary range and delivers a quality bean to cup coffee for around fifty cents.
